I installed the NDZ Ball Detents yesterday. First there is a reason they send three in pack instead of just the two. The instructions tell you to put tape over the spring to hold them in. Then the body would actually hold them in when the ball puts pressure on the detents. I think that the detents with a spring is a good upgrade over the factory rubber detents, BUT I think that NDZ could have completed the design better.

Is it worth upgrading from stock?

im not sure if you guys noticed or not but the stock detents are very solid, they aren't going to wear down for quite a long time. I've heard a lot of people having problems with the NDZ detents getting stuck, so I don't know, a detent upgrade certainly isn't necessary IMO.

.... Very true.... I have the detents, and they do get stuck back in the channel because the guide is not long enough, so they can turn sideways and lodge themselves back at any time (usually higher ROF)... I was told how to fix the problem, but the weather has been terrible the past few days here, so i don't really have a reason to make any adjustments yet, but it shouldn't be too hard to fix

I've begun having the same problem with the ball detents getting stuck. I just spoke with New Designz and they are listening to us. They have a revised model coming out that will fix the problem. They as always stand behind their product. It's like getting DYE quality & service but without the high price.
